Coupon'n Tip: Couponing on a Tight Schedule
Whether you’re a busy mom, a college student, or working full-time, fitting in couponing can be daunting. Here are a few ideas to help you out!
1. Matchups: Hopefully, our site helps out with matching up the ads with coupons & promos so you don’t have to. If you aren’t next to stores that we cover, try Googling your location or nearby store(s) with words like “match ups” “coupons”, etc. You can come across blogs that scout out the week’s best deals and pair them with promos/ coupons.
2. Don’t Delay Cutting: Clip & organize coupons as they arrive. If you let them stack up in huge piles, it will put stress on you and take up blocks of time. Get older kids to help out, clip during shows/ movies at home, or clip while the kids are playing.
3. Check out services: Look into coupon clipping services. It does cost up front, but the benefit is not having to clip them yourself, and you are buying coupons that you will use. Scan your local ad the day it arrives for sales and sale dates; check a blog for match-ups; then order the coupons they mention. My purchases usually come in the mail with a few sale days left.
4. List it: Writing or typing out your shopping list and filing which coupons you need before the trip saves time in the long run! Instead of wandering up and down the aisles with your ad and scanning through your binder every three feet, you’ve got it mapped out. Not to mention it cuts down on stress if you’ve also got kids in tow!
5. Time: Find the best time to shop for you. If it’s after the kids have gone to bed or early in the morning, pick out the least stressful. Also avoiding peak shopping hours will save you time standing in line or navigating around multitudes of shoppers.
6. eCoupons: Upload these coupons electronically to your store loyalty card, and they will apply automatically at checkout when you swipe your card. They can be loaded and used one time per card. There’s no need to clip & file these, and you can add several within seconds!
